Click with Technology calls on tour operators to improve their pricing tools

Following the recent ABTA crackdown on six high profile travel agents, three of which have been left facing hefty fines, Peter Hilton, MD of Click with Technology has called for Tour Operators to improve the quality of data in their availability files.

ABTA are unfairly penalising travel retailers for pricing discrepancies, when the root cause of the problem stems from misleading pricing files coming from the supplier. These suppliers are losing out to new emerging suppliers who are now supplying correct pricing and availability in real time through XML links.

Travel retailers will continue to be penalised if they cannot find a solution to the pricing problem.
